    This software can be accessed by four types of users viz. end user, sub-administrator, administrator and super administrator.

    User Module
    This being a web-based software for the analysis of on-farm trials data needs user authentication. There are four levels of authentications, viz. End user, Sub administrator, Administrator and Super administrator. End user can view the details of the all or desired experiments. Sub administrator can add experimental information, analyze the data and view the reports. Administrator has all the privileges of Sub administrator, in addition, he can delete the experiment but not the base tables and update the database. Super administrator has all the privileges of an Administrator. In addition, he can delete the base tables and can also upgrade or downgrade the status of a user from End user to Sub administrator or from Sub administrator to Administrator or vice versa. Every user has to get registered in the system to access the information from the database through the Sign up link on the Home Page (Figure 1). However, un-registered users can only view the experiments from the system to get a flavour of vast information contained in the system by logging in as guest (Username) and guest (Password). Sub administrator module is the dynamic module meant for data entry ,analyzing and viewing the report. Administrator module is the dynamic module that is meant for data entry / deletion / modification,analyzing and viewing the report. Only the authorized users having respective privileges provided by the system administrator can enter into these modules respectively after entering their Username and Password on the log-in Home Page of the site.

    How to log in as a new user?
    An unregistered user cannot do the modification of data in the database. To access the information from the system he must have a Username and Password, which is used for authentication purpose. To register himself, a user must go to login page and then click the sign up . When a user clicks this button, a registration form appears. The user has to fill all the required fields and then lick the submit button. After submitting the form, a new window with the message "User account successfully created" or if the user already exists with same username then "User already exists!" appears. Registration through this form provides the priveleges of guest user until he is upgraded by the Super administrator.

    How to access Information?
    Registered user can access the database, do modifications of data according to their priveleges, analyze the data and view the reports for the experimental trials.When valid user enters Username and Password and clicks submit button, a window with menu at the top appears. User can select the operation of choice.

    Sub administration module
    Sub administrator is authorized to populate the database, analyze the data and view the reports. Sub administrator is privileged to add new experiments, state, crop, crop group, variety, soil texture, farming situation, district, NARP Zone, block, village,and irrigation in the database. He can also view the analysis of the data and view reports.

    Administration module
    Administrator is authorized to add, modify and update information in the database. He can also delete information that is redundant. Administrator is privileged to add new experiments, state, crop, crop group, variety, soil texture, farming situation, district, NARP Zone, block,village and irrigation. Administrator is also responsible for modifying the information in the database if it is required to do so. He can also view analysis of the data and view various reports.

    Super administrator
    Super administrator is a user who has the highest privelege among all users. He can do all types of modification in the database. He can add, delete and modify all the derived and base tables in the database. He has authority to upgrade or downgrade the status from End user to Sub administrator or from Sub administrator to Administrator or vice versa.

    Add information
    The database is populated by adding new sets of data to the database. All registered users are allowed to populate the database

    Delete information
    At times deletion of data may be required due to its unreliability. In such cases, data available in the database may yield wrong information, thus such information needs to be deleted from the database. However, all users are not allowed to do the data management work. Deletion of information from the database is done by the administrator and Super administrator but the right to delete the base tables from the database lies only with the Super administrator.

    Modify information
    Data modification is required when the data is present in the database but some data needs to be corrected or updated. Modification of information in the database is done by administrator and Super administrator only.
